DWC has developed a new and innovative weighing and packaging system for chicory together with Crux Agribotics. Our robotised system has been developed for weighing chicory and automatically moving the chicory crops to the infeed belt of the flowpack machine.
A completely newly designed weighing system in combination with advanced software ensures that the ‘give away’ can be reduced to an absolute minimum: less than 1%.
The newly developed gripping mechanism moves the chicory crops to the infeed belt of the flowpacker. The system operates in one smooth motion and without causing any damage. The savings on manpower and ‘give away’ yield an attractive Return on Investment.
In addition to chicory, the system can also be used for many other products such as pointed peppers, parsnips, leeks, zucchini, snack gherkins, etc.
