The semi-automatic weighing line from Dutch Weighing Company is specially developed for checking and adjusting the weight of pre-filled punnets. This smart line solution is particularly suitable for delicate products such as mushrooms and strawberries, where speed, precision, and careful handling are essential.
How It Works
An operator manually places the filled punnets on a conveyor belt. A check weigher then automatically checks the weight of each tray and directs it to the appropriate track:
- Correct weight: directly to the packaging machine
- Underweight: to a correction zone with three precision weighing belts
- Overweight: to a separate correction zone, also with three weighing belts
Each weighing belt is equipped with a 23-point LED bar, showing deviations from the target weight with 1-gram accuracy. A second operator manually adjusts the contents until the tray falls within the green zone. The punnets are then merged back into a single line via an inliner and transported toward the packaging machine.
